The resolution related to the government's policy statement was passed unanimously in Parliament yesterday (Dec. 4) without a vote.

IMF Leader of the House Bimal Ratnayake said in Parliament yesterday that the agreement has been revised and the country will know about it in the upcoming budget.

Minister Bimal Ratnayake also said that the decision on tax reduction can only be made through a parliamentary act and the President cannot make decisions about it.

Are taxes reduced? no? Minister Bimal Ratnayake said that there has been a discussion in the society and the country will be able to see this in the upcoming budget.
