India's Gukesh Dommaraju has become the world's youngest world chess champion.

The Hindu newspaper reported that he achieved this victory by defeating China's Ding Lizhen, who won the world championship last year.

The 2024 World Chess Championship is being hosted by Singapore, and it will be held for the 14th time.

Gukesh Dommaraju from India is 18 years old.
