Narendra Modi, following the path taken by Buddha

October 18, 2024

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that whenever a crisis occurs anywhere in the world today, India is the first to respond, and this reflects the Buddha's principle of compassion.

He made this statement while addressing the International Abhidhamma Day program yesterday (Oct. 17).

The Indian High Commission made this known by placing an X mark.

?I once said at the United Nations that India has given the world 'Buddha', not 'war'. Today I confidently say that the world will find solutions not in war but in the teachings of Buddha,? the Indian Prime Minister further stated.

The Indian government this month granted classical language status to the Pali language, which is the legacy of the Buddha's teachings, words, and teachings.
